Annemarie/Anabelle’s Lemon Bars!

My good friend Anabelle found this recipe Annemarie’s Lemon Bars on All Recipes, and now she is known for her famous lemon bars!

You Will Need:
For the crust:

– 1 stick (1/2 cup) softened butter (NOT MELTED)

– 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour (NOT SELF-RISING)

– 1/4 cup granulated white sugar

For lemon filling:

– 5 tablespoons lemon juice

– 3/4 cup granulated white sugar

– 1/4 tsp baking powder

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together the ingredients needed for crust. The result will be crumbly. Spread onto an 8 inch pan and bake for about 20 minutes. The crust will look white DO NOT BROWN!

2. Using an electric mixer, blend the ingredients needed for the lemon filling. Pour onto COOLED crust and bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes.

3. Cut into squares and decorate with powdered sugar.
